Burt & Francie's serves a wide selection of Drinks, from locally roasted, artisan coffees to small-batch regional beers. In addition, our kitchen produces delightful Bakery & Food, both of which highlight local and seasonal specialties. Located in a historic building in the heart of Bayfield, Burt & Francie's entertains our guests year 'round in a warm and welcoming setting. We are proud to work with local farmers, producers, fishmongers and cheesemakers whenever possible.

And who are Burt & Francie? Jonathan Burton & Danielle Frances Ewalt purchased Blue Horizons in February 2007, and renamed it Burt & Francie's later that Spring.  It was our unrelenting passion - was it an obsession? - to serve great Food and Drink that led us to Bayfield. A couple of itinerant fools, we felt empowered in this small, but vibrant community to follow our dreams, to join a growing collection of sustainable businesses that is leading Wisconsin in greening its tourism industry.

Need a Burt & Francie's fix, but can't make it all the way to Bayfield?  You can purchase a few of our fine products at local outlets, including Ashland's Chequamegon Food Co-Op and Washburn's Leino's Gas & Goods.  Leino's is our newest location, and we're happy to report that they're carrying our cookies, a few flavors of our hummus and pre-packaged granola! Please ask for assistance if you have any trouble finding our products on your next fill-up in Washburn!

Burt & Francie's is currently looking to fill two positions:

BAKER - Are you passionate about offering amazing, homemade goodness made with local/organic ingredients? Are you a detail-oriented person that has professional or extensive home baking experience? Your core responsibilities will include producing consistent, flavorful bakery, analyzing recipe costs, and assisting in the creation of seasonal recipes. A morning position requiring weekend and holiday availability, this part-time role will grow to full time by late Spring/early Summer. Pay is hourly, DOE.

BARISTA - Are you passionate about coffee, great food and serving the finest espresso drinks in a quick-paced environment? Are you energized by giving great service to our wonderful customers? Burt & Francie's is looking for a part time BARISTA to join our team beginning immediately; position will become full time by the start of Summer. No experience necessary - will happily train the right person! You must be available both weekdays and weekends/holidays! Pay is hourly, DOE.
